The first three years of life are the most fundamental in the development of human beings and their potential. It is a period when the core of personality, social skills, and human values are developed. It is the time where rapid transformation in growth happens.

Dr. Maria Montessori saw this time as the absolute most critical in human development compared to all the other age periods, or what she called "Planes of Development".

With a deep understanding of what a child is developing, a fully Montessori prepared environment will meet the needs of the child and foster a sense of belonging, independence, and language acquisition, thereby enabling children to feel able and capable and giving the young child a home away from home.

As per AMI standards, and with our New York State OCFS daycare
licensure
, we
offer a five-day-a-week full-day toddler program, for

children who are 18 months and up, who have learned to walk, and

whose world is therefore already expanding at a greater rate.

To find our more about admitting your toddler to our program,

please visit our Admission page.

During their time at our school, our toddler students focus on

developing their movement and control of the hands, language, and

independence, within a caring and social-environmental

context. This is also a time when more structured routines are settled for

the group as a whole, compared to our infant program.

Our unique farm location offers lots of opportunities

for additional outdoor activities, which we believe are important for

growing minds and bodies.
